Turning the Page to the Next Chapter

The first day…. Jeff was taking Roger’s place in teaching COMM 486 due to Roger being on sabbatical. I don’t know about my fellow colleagues but this was the only class I was in that needed a book. Most of us know what that means. Tests, papers, and the possibility of work that none of us would feel was teaching us anything. We get to class and Jeff throws out this wild idea. We create a student led ad agency right out of Stewart Hall. It was about a 50/50 split on who was all in and who needed a little convincing. Here we are though! We’ve reached the end of an amazing semester.

This semester has been one for the books. I don’t think any of us would have thought going into this course that we would create and run a full-blown student led ad agency. Huge thank you to our awesome prof. Jeff! He went out on a limb and gave the 13 of us an opportunity no other professor has.

It is bitter sweet to be graduating. College has been such a fun chapter in life. These past 4 months have been a few of the most challenging. To say we grew is an understatement. We made leaps and bounds toward the advertising industry professionally, mentally, and ability wise. It’s been such an amazing experience to work with real clients before we graduate. All the stress was worth it. Time to turn the page!
