Is the caffeine worth it?

Lesson learned. Do not go in to cut and mount designs running on only coffee and no food. Eat a FULL meal. It is tremendously important to eat if you want steady hands. We figured this out Wednesday.

Now, we must remember steady hands are key in pristine cutting, spraying, and mounting. Heck, even carrying things steadily is a feat if you are running on espresso and fumes. Considering our experience Wednesday, here is a preparation list for successful mounting.

Step 1: Eat food. This consists of a feast if coffee is

involved. If coffee is not involved, eat a regular breakfast.

Step 2: Make sure you take a deep breath before you start. Feeling frazzled, stressed, or rushed is not ideal for successful mounting.

Step 3: Make a checklist of everything that needs to be printed, cut, and mounted. Start downloading every document you need to print. Keeping things organized is key to success.

Step 4: Once everything is printed, take your time cutting the foam core and designs.

Step 5: When spraying always remember to keep it light. Don’t bog the paper down. It’ll look like oil stains on the design.

Step 6: Now for the final step, steady hands. Steady, steady, steady. Nice and easy. Set it down gently.

Mounting is simple. It’s clean and organized. Don’t let coffee get in the way of productivity friends. It did this week. Lesson learned.
