Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

"Hands in middle guys! We started this, lets go out and finish it." Putting the team first means thinking about others before you think about yourself. For some, this task is not doable. Teamwork can be like a slender filament of hair on your face -- it decides to grow with the grain of your beard or it becomes in-grown and decides to go its own way.

The ability to communicate with one another was what we were lacking, but for us it was a no brainer. We instantly had to get along, collaborate and listen. We soon overcame that obstacle when we realized that this was a once in a lifetime opportunity for us at St. Cloud State & what better way to become a professional in our field than to start our own student led ad agency.

We recently had a client who was not a fan of our 1st finished product. Her concepts and our work got lost in translation. After taking to heart the client's constructive criticism, we treated them as a completely new client and bounced back.

Our Account Executive Nate, boldly jumped back into the ring to show our second re-creations. Turns out, our hard work paid off & the client was very happy with the new-look we created for them.

I can speak for all of us when I say, this first road-bump is actually what we needed.

As our fearless leader shared his daily wisdom with us today, he made me realize, that sometimes you might have to go back to the drawing board 10 times with a client, giving it 10 different takes and looks. After hearing this, I felt relieved we nailed it in two. We're glad that the client gave us another opportunity to learn and grow from this lesson.

We are much more powerful together as a single cohesive unit than any of us are standing alone. Realizing this, we have put to the side, our self-pride because right now we are all grabbing together, in this last ride.

There's an old saying that goes "You are a product of your own environment" -- so far, our products are pretty awesome, so doesn't that mean that we're pretty awesome?
