It has been approximately two months now since we formed our ad agency and it has been a great experience working with local Central MN clients. Through my involvement with Fourth Avenue Design, I have worked with fellow students of whom have become great friends. Friends who are ready to assist you in criticizing your work, help with new ideas, and support you on how to use tools in the Adobe programs.
This is my final semester at SCSU, like most of the members in our agency. For the previous semester, it was rare to find me in the library, unlike this semester. I preferred to do my school work in my room with my broken HP computer that is connected to a desktop. Now I barely spend time in my room anymore; I prefer the school library where I get assistance from my classmates. If you walk to the library at the second floor, be assured you will find Molly, Abby, Jordyn, Drew or another group member of the Fourth Avenue Design with headphones listening to music and working on our projects. We own the Mac computers in the SCSU library.
Furthermore, from the 12 Hour Design Challenge I experienced team work that I have not experienced in the six semesters I have been at SCSU. Not to lower the standard of my other group projects from previous classes, but most of the times there has been an approach of “you do your part, I’ll do mine.” At Fourth Avenue Design, we share similar goals, passions, and enthusiasm, despite our different strengths in distinctive disciplines. As the semester comes to an end and we graduate, we have our eyes sets on working for a professional organization or an ad agency and enjoy the fruits of our four years that we have invested in college.
Through the teamwork, creativity, passion, leadership, energy, and vision from Fourth Avenue Design, all I see is a bright future ahead for each and every one of us.
