Challenging the Design.

Congratulations, you made it to our website! There have been a lot of challenges that come along with starting an advertising agency from scratch. It doesn’t get any easier when it’s packed with a bunch of seniors who are looking for the small hole of light at the end of a long narrow tunnel. Most would think we are crazy, “you sure you want to work that hard at the end of your senior year?” Well, most of our answers are “DUH!” But, this weekend 8 of us (two teams of 4, ha fitting) were pushed just a little bit harder.
They call it a 12 Hour Design Challenge*, but it was more like the “13 Hour let’s see what these students are made of” challenge. I think I speak for most when I say it was HARD. After lunch we didn’t think we could create anything else for the rest of our lives, but it did pay off. I know what you’re thinking, “Oh my, they won, how cool!!” Well, no actually we didn’t win. Back to your thoughts, “So what was paid off?” For my team, I had the chance to get to know how the other three work, meaning I can understand them better in class. We had the chance to laugh, to learn, to cheer each other on, and over all have one heck of a time. No, we didn’t end up taking the trophy home, but we took home something that can never be replaced. We saw how each of us exhibited the three things that Fourth Avenue Design claims to stand for, refreshing designs, making connections within the community, and most importantly passion for what we do.
Last note, I can’t wait to continue with this group throughout the semester and see where we end up in the up coming years!
Thanks for listening,
Britt
P.S I’m so proud of us Fre$hly Tech and Sharp Design
*The 12 Hour Design Challenge is put on by the Central Minnesota AdFed and is an opportunity for students to show local agencies and marketing departments what the area schools are doing for their students.
